Killzone: Mercenary updated for PlayStation TV support

PlayStation Vita title Killzone: Mercenary has been updated to support PlayStation TV.

Patch 1.11 updates the game so that its touch controls are translated to a user’s PS3 or PS4 controller and introduces a restart-from-checkpoint system, meaning players can quit mid-mission and resume from where they left off.

Guerilla says that it has also tried to keep the game balanced so neither joypad players nor handheld players will enjoy any sort of competitive advantage when engaged in multiplayer.

When PlayStation TV was first announced, we were super excited at the idea of having Killzone Mercenary running on a big TV screen,” Guerilla Cambridge tech director Matt Porter said.

So, we went to work on making that idea happen, and are pleased to announce we can finally share the results. The game does indeed look fantastic on the big screen, and the DualShock controls bring a new feel to the game’s mechanics.”

PlayStation TV will be released in the UK on November 14th costing 84.99. Three game codes are included in the box – OlliOlli, Velocity Ultra and Worms Revolution Extreme.
