Kingdoms of Amalur out February

GAMESCOM: An excitable Ken Rolsten announced that EA’s action RPG Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning will hit UK shelves on February 10th 2012.

The veteran game designer enthusiastically led attendees to EA’s Gamescom 2011 press conference through the game’s features. These include a fast-paced addictive combat system,” variety of attacks and an in-game world worth saving”.

The Xbox 360, PS3 and PC game – in development at 38 Studios and published by EA – will arrive slightly earlier in North America on February 7th.

Ken Rolsten said: I can’t wait for you to get your hands on Reckoning and test out the combat for yourself. Until you’ve really played it, you just don’t have any idea how much fun it is.”

The developer has worked on a number of successful RPGs including The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind and The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. He worked as lead designer for both titles.

The in-game universe in Reckoning has been designed by author R. A. Salvatore and Spawn creator Todd McFarlane.
