Konami brings blockbusters to Gamescom

New outings for Metal Gear, Pro Evolution Soccer and Castlevania will all be available to play in Cologne this August.

Konami will give consumers the chance to check out its biggest upcoming games for themselves, as well as live streams, trailers and interviews for anyone that is unable to make it to Gamescom 2012.

Headlining the line-up will be Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, the action-packed MGS spin-off developed by Kojima Productions and Platinum Games, due in 2013.

Sports fans will be able to check out the new mechanics of PES 2013, including FullControl, Player ID and ProActive AI. Konami will demonstrate how each of these will bring a new level of realism to the football series.

Finally, the publisher has promised demos of two follow-ups to Castlevania: Lords of Shadow, including Mirror of Fate – the 3DS exclusive adventure set for release this autumn.

"Innovation and strong brands – that is what Konami is all about at this year’s Gamescom," said Konami general manager Martin Schneider.

"With new versions of Pro Evolution Soccer, Metal Gear and Castlevania: Lords of Shadow, fans and gamers are introduced to our best brands. And via Konami onAir, we can connect directly with our community and bring Konami’s Gamescom attractions to gamers all over the world – an exciting interaction that has never been at the show before."
