Konami delists itself from New York Stock Exchange

Konami has announced it is no longer trading in the New York Stock Exchange.

The publisher voluntarily delisted itself from the NYSE market – effective as of last Friday, April 24th. Company shares can still be traded in America’s over-the-counter market, and the firm will maintain its listings on the Tokyo and London Stock Exchange.

Konami’s announcement further states it has terminated its reporting obligations, but still plans to continue publishing financial statements in English.

The news comes in wake of Konami’s cancellation of Silent Hills, which is widely believed to be a consequence of the recent and messy fallout with Hideo Kojima and his studio.
