The Kojima Productions logo has been removed from the Silent Hills website, raising further questions about Hideo Kojima’s future at the publisher.
As spotted by GameSpot, the studio logo for the upcoming PS4 game could originally be founded in the bottom left corner, but has now been removed with just the Fox Engine logo visible.
A Konami spokesperson said the move was part of the publisher’s move to a “headquarters-based organisation”.
"Konami has switched from a studio-based to a headquarters-based organisation, so [Kojima Productions] wouldn’t be listed as a studio anymore,” read a statement.
“At this time, there are no additional updates to share."
It comes after Kojima Productions branding was removed from Metal Gear art and the official website. A report also claimed that Kojima himself would likely leave the publisher altogether when his contract ends in December, along with a number of other senior staff.
The latter claim raises doubts over Kojima’s involvement in future developoment of Silent Hills, a project he has been working on with Pacific Rim director Guillermo del Toro.
