Last year’s big hits top the digital console chart for June in the UK

The boxed charts might all be about Batman and Elder Scrolls, but 2014’s success stories continue to reign in the UK digital rankings.

SuperData Research has published its latest Top Ten for digital sales on console in June, finding that retail chart-toppers Batman Arkham Knight and The Elder Scrolls Online’s console iteration, Tamriel Unlimited, failed to break into the Top Three best-selling titles.

Arkham Knight, which claimed the biggest boxed launch in the UK last month, was the fifth best-selling digital title on console, while Elder Scrolls Online – the second-biggest launch of the year at the time of its release – placed fourth.

Podium positions were claimed by 2014 releases Grand Theft Auto V, Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare and FIFA 15 in first, second and third place, respectively.

Further down in the rankings, long-time chart presence Minecraft placed just below May release (and former biggest-launch-of-the-year holder) The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, while Activision’s Destiny, launched last August, slotted in-between Battlefield Hardline and Bloodborne, both released earlier this year.
