LEGO Star Wars shoots to UK No.1, is the fourth biggest LEGO game launch

Warner Bros’ LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens has debuted at the top spot in the UK charts.

The title is the fourth biggest LEGO game of all time, and the ninth LEGO game to debut at No.1 in the UK. It is also the fourth biggest launch for a Star Wars game, behind Battlefield, The Force Unleashed Episode 3: Revenge of the Sith.

Doom meanwhile falls from the top spot to fourth place as sales dip 17 per cent. However, FIFA 16 holds steady at No.2 with sales rising 17 per cent.

Overwatch holds at third place, too, with a nine per cent rise in sales, moving one place up from No.4. Uncharted 4, meanwhile, falls two places to No.5 with sales dipping 19 per cent.

Aside from LEGO The Force Awakens, there are two other new starters in the Top Ten US– Square Enix’s Star Ocean Integrity and Faithlessness at No.6 and 7 Days to Die in ninth place.

Last week’s new starter, the physical version of Psyonix’s Rocket League, released in a box by 505 Games, has an impressive second week, with sales actually rising 20 per cent.
