LEGO Star Wars The Force Awakens holds fourth consecutive UK No.1

Warner Bros’ latest LEGO game is just one week from equalling the franchise’s record for top spots in the UK charts.

LEGO Star Wars The Force Awakens takes the No.1 spot for the fourth week running; one more week will see it level with LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes, which holds the record for LEGO No.1s with five weeks at the top.

Due to summer holidays and a drop following Amazon’s Prime Day, unit sales dropped 29 per cent this week with money generated from software falling 32 per cent.

FIFA 16 takes second place, rising five places from No.7 despite a 13 per cent dip in sales. Meanwhile, Overwatch rises once position to third place with sales dipping 30 per cent.

Last week’s new entry, Capcom’s 3DS title Monster Hunter Generations, dropped six places to No.

And off the back of the mobile behemoth that is Pokmon Go, 3DS titles Omega Ruby, Alpha Sapphire and Y re-enter the Top 40 at No.17, No.24 and No.29 respectively. GfK predicts that August will see a spike in Pokmon sales and 3DS hardware and software.
