Dlala leaving studio as residency opens up for new arrivals in 2014

Lift London invites indies to join residency

Microsoft Lift London is inviting small development teams to join its office space as part of its in-residence programme.

The first team to join the London studio as part of the programme was Dlala Studios, set up by AJ Grand-Scrutton and Craig Thomas (pictured).

Grand-Scrutton, Craig Thomas and their self-hired team got support from Microsoft during the creation of their first Windows 8 title, Janksy, which was released in late 2012.

Dlala is currently working on a new title, and is set to leave Lift London later this year.

At the Develop Conference this week, Lift’s studio head Lee Schuneman revealed that the studio is now welcoming more independent developers and small team into its in-residence space.

“I want to offer the right support, guidance and mentorship in a way that unleashes your creativity and potential, and empower you to build your own businesses,” Schuneman said.

The residency at Lift London start in February 2014.
