Athletes Linford Christie and Mark Lewis-Francis will race gamers as part of a new Xbox 360 Kinect promotion.
The Olympic stars will compete against one winning family in a game of Kinect Sports, while runners-up will win a video chat with the gold medallists. A 4GB Xbox 360 Kinect bundle is also up for grabs.
A Microsoft statement read: Players will have the opportunity to try a variety of track and field events against Linford Christie and Mark Lewis-Francis, and perhaps get a few running tips from the masters themselves.”
Microsoft is running the ‘Game with Fame’ campaign to drive further interest in Kinect Sports which went on sale last November as a Kinect launch title. Along with Dance Central it is one of Kinect’s best-selling games.
Participants can enter the competition by following @tweetbox360 on Twitter and describing why they should win in less than 140 characters, followed by the tag #KinectSportsGWF.
Entrants must also upload a picture of themselves playing the game – or what they think they would look like playing it.
The competition closes on January 24th. More information can be found on the Kinect Sports Facebook page.
