Mad Catz isn’t just working on peripherals for Harmonix’s rhythm game revival Rock Band 4, with the peripheral maker announcing it has joined the studio as the game’s co-publisher.
The pair had already struck a deal for Mad Catz to manufacture official peripherals for the title, and now Mad Catz will take the reigns on Rock Band 4’s retail sales, promotion and worldwide distribution. Harmonix will retain control of the game’s digital sales, along with any DLC releases.
Harmonix PR lead Nick Chester added on Twitter that the developer and Mad Catz intend to release the game simultaneously in US and European territories.
Rock Band 4 is due out later this year for PS4 and Xbox One.
