Majora’s Mask 3DS sells out in the US, but still can’t be ordered in the UK

Despite the excitement surrounding its launch yesterday, there’s still no way for UK gamers to pre-order the Majora’s Mask Limited Edition New 3DS XL in the UK.

The console, which includes a digital copy of the game, was announced to much excitement yesterday. Both the game and the hardware will be released in the UK and US on February 13th.

However, while the hardware sold out at GameStop in the US within 15 minutes, there remains no way of UK buyers to secure a unit.

GAME has been telling customers that the only way to obtain the console will be directly through Nintendo, but there’s no sign of a listing on the platform holder’s online store.

However, GAME is selling both the standard New 3DS and New 3DS XL (at 149.99 and 179.9 respectively) as well as the decorated Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate Special Edition for 209.99.

UPDATE 10:45: Nintendo UK has told MCV that the console will be available to pre-order on its site "in the next few hours".

UPDATE 13:35: The Majora’s Mask 3DS XL is now available on Nintendo’s store and is, in the UK, bundled with the Skull Kid statue previously only available as part of the Majora’s Mask Special Edition in the US.
