Marmalade SDK gets Tizen support

Cross-platform development tool Marmalade will now support Tizen game development.

Tizen is a linux-based mobile OS is set to launch later this year, and Marmalade developers will get native access to the platform so they can port existing and new games through the tool directly to Tizen.

Other new Marmalade features in the new 6.4 update to the SDK include the full integration of Lua-based RAD tool Marmalade Quick, and full support for iOS 7.

Mac users can also now use the latest version of Apple’s own IDE, Xcode 5, with Marmalade.

“Since we announced our intention to support Tizen in July we’ve had lots of interest from our developer community,” said Marmalade CEO Harvey Elliott.

“We’re very excited to be able to release support now, so that our community can dive into the new technology and taking early advantage of the platform’s potential reach”.
