Special Brit List will recognise Top 100 women in games, followed by February awards ceremony

MCV to honour influential women in games next year

MCV’s Brit List will return at the end of January – but this time it will honour the 100 most influential women in the games industry.

We launched the first Brit List in March, and it fast became the most-read issue of MCV of all time.

Our next Brit List will be part of a range of activity from MCV and its sister title Develop recognising the games business’ leading women in January and February next year.

The January 30th issue of MCV will be dedicated to the ‘Brit List: Top 100 Women in Games’, profiling the women who have moulded the business and are pushing it forward. The list will also be promoted extensively online.

Then, in February, we will host the Women of the Year networking and awards event, honouring all those on the Women in Games Top 100 – and unveiling the winners of three new awards: prizes for Creative Inspiration, Campaigner and Pioneer.

To get the ball rolling, we’re opening a call for suggestions and entries for the Top 100.

To nominate yourself, a colleague, a peer, mentor or even a competitor, simply email their name, job title, company and a brief commendation to WomenInGames@nbmedia.com.

Nominees can work anywhere in the games business – be that development, retail, education, technology, publishing, media, services and support and much more.

The deadline is Tuesday, December 16th.

MCV will put together several judging panels to help narrow down the list to the leading 100.

We’ll also be asking our judges to consider who the top candidates are for our Women of the Year Awards networking event in February.

If you’d like to judge or find out more information about our women in games activity email mfrench@nbmedia.com or call 01992 515 303.
