PS4 release will render at 1080p resolution and run at 60fps

Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeros will run at 720p on Xbox One

Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeros will only run at 720p on Xbox One, less than its PS4 counterpart.

The PS4 release of the upcoming open-world title will render at 1080p, and also run at 60fps. While the Xbox One version with have a lower resolution, it will also run at the same frame-rate.

The Xbox 360 and PS3 versions will also run at 720p, but at 30fps.

The comparisons, released by publisher Konami, come after MGS creator Hideo Kojima praised the PS4 for being the best and most powerful home console currently on the market.

"I think, between the home consoles available in the domestic market, the PS4 is the best," said Kojima as translated by DualShockers.

"It’s also excellent for graphics, being able to render 1080p at 60fps with room to spare.

"Since it does it a little better than other hardware, the image quality of the PS4 is the most beautiful. It’s the closest to the photorealistic quality we are aiming at."
