Metal Gear’s Raiden descends on three UK cities

Raiden is to become a striking feature of London, Liverpool and Leeds later this month.

Konami has announced a neat marketing trick for the upcoming Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance – three huge murals of the game’s star Raiden that have been created in key locations in the UK.

Specifically, they can be found in London’s Sclater Street, Liverpool’s Ropewalks Square and Aire Street in Leeds.

The murals were created by an aerosol agency called Endoftheline, with work beginning only yesterday (February 6th)

With a game of the stature of Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, it is fitting to have its central hero looming over key cities via these stunning works of art,” Konami UK’s PR and marketing manager Brian Ayers stated.

Yoji Shinkawa’s art is instantly recognisable, and Raiden’s presence in London, Leeds and Liverpool will have all the impact of the new game. EndoftheLine has secured some stunning vantage points for the art, and we are extremely proud to be working with such talented guys in the run up to the launch of one of 2013’s most anticipated video games.”
