Microsoft integrates Lightstream Studio customisation features into Mixer

Microsoft-owned streaming platform Mixer has signed a partnership with Lightstream, a livestreaming studio that created a live video production suite called Lightstream Studio. Now integrated into Mixer, it offers a range of customisation options (such as overlays, alerts or transitions) in order to help content creators give a more polished and professional look to their streams.

Mixer Partners and Mixer Pro members have access to Lightstream Studio services in beta from now, with access being extended to more users “soon”, the announcement said. Lightstream Studio is free of charge.

“Mixer streamers can route their feed into Lightstream Studio to enable endless customizations,” Mirosoft’s senior program manager Frank Ciaramello said in the official announcement. “And if there are other services streamers love using for alerts (like StreamLabs, StreamJar or Tipeeestream), they can easily link their third party accounts within their Lightstream settings. It’s super powerful and incredibly easy to use. Lightstream Studio is accessible from any supported browser on PC, Mac, or Tablet so streamers can manage their production from the device they feel most comfortable with. Streamers can even go to mixer.golightstream.com on any mobile device to remote control their stream for scene switching.”

For Mixer users who are interested in learning more about Lighstream Studio, Mixer put together a FAQ.

Earlier this year, Mixer also announced the introduction of direct game sales and tipping services.
