Misfits sign former TSM CS:GO roster

Misfits has acquired the former TSM CS:GO roster after the team refused to play without Sean Gares.

Gares was removed from TSM just days after signing thanks to the PEA drama. Gares signed the open letter to teams, which ticked off TSM’s management who removed him from the team. However the other four players announced that they would not play without Gares on the team.

Now the team has left TSM and has been signed by Misfits, who are entering the world of CS:GO for the first time. Misfits has a team in the EU LCS and a strong Overwatch team, they recently received investment from the Miami Heat and have been on somewhat of a spending spree.

"I want to thank Ben and the entire Misfits organization for trusting in me and providing the five of us with a new home," said Gares. "Our new agreements with Misfits not only provide us with great support – we have also used the opportunity to work with Misfits to address and improve key industry issues that all players currently face. Our contracts with Misfits set new standards for players’ protection and rights in areas like personal sponsorships, unreasonable benching procedures, and of course how our league participation is decided."
