Top developers to discuss indies, VR and new ways to develop games

Molyneux, Braben, Charla and Ranyard to speak at Develop Conference

Peter Molyneux, David Braben, Chris Charla and Dave Ranyard will all host their own sessions at the Develop Conference in Brighton this July.

22Cans boss Peter Molyneux and designer Jack Attridge will discuss bringing substance and deeper experiences to casual gamers, and how the team hopes to achieve success in this market with Godus.

Frontier founder David Braben will share insights from the development process of Elite: Dangerous, and how public scrutiny of the project at its early stages is affecting the title’s creation.

SCE Studio London’s Dave Ranyard is to look at whether VR will really be a disruptive technology in the game industry, and will discuss the development of Project Morpheus.

Microsoft’s Chirs Charla meanwhile will talk about the ID@Xbox program for Xbox One, and how it is helping indies self-publish their titles, as well as a look at the introduction of new tools and support for devs.

As previously announced, presenting the event’s keynote will be Andrew House and Mark Cerny, with the duo to discuss two decades of PlayStation and consoles, and what the future holds for the company and market.

The Develop Conference will take place in Brighton between July 8th and 10th at the Hilton Metropole hotel.

More than 100 speakers are set to take part in the event, hosting over 90 sessions across nine tracks.
