Morrisons joins ERA board

Morrisons buyer Kevin Lee is the latest addition to the ERA board.

He was elected as part at the ERA AGM yesterday, and means all four of the UK’s biggest supermarkets are now represented by the association.

He is joined by We7’s music strategy boss Clive Gardiner, Alan Jordan who is the founder of music indie Reflex, and Chris O’Reilly, the MD of classical music shop Presto.

Re-elected to the board was Simon Fox (HMV), Richard Crampton (Sainsbury’s), Russel Coultart (Digital Stores), Richard White (Chalky’s) and Nigel House (Rough Trade).

The results of these elections show the truly diverse nature of UK entertainment retailing today. We now have 150 members with 30 of them joining in the past two years alone, showing the ability of the market to renew itself," said ERA Chairman Paul Quirk.

"Entertainment retailing has become as diverse as the products and services we nowadays sell.”
