NA LCS Summer Split Finals to be held in Boston

Riot Games has announced that it will be hosting the finals of the North American League of Legends Championship Series in Boston, Massachusetts.

The two day event will feature the third place play off match as well as the grand final of the Summer Split, a nine week competition that will determine the best League of Legends team in North America.

While an exact location was not announced Riot did reveal that the competition will take place on September 2nd and 3rd. The company has promised more details such as a location and ticket information in the coming weeks.

A tweet from ESPN writer Tyler Erzberger has suggested that the event will be held at the TD Garden, a sports venue that houses the Boston Celtics and Boston Bruins teams. It is owned by the company that just heavily invested in esports organisation Splyce, and the owners have said they want to host esports events there before, so it looks like this could be true.
