Namco restructures marketing team

Publisher Namco Bandai has made some changes to its European marketing team.

Marketing director David Miller has left the firm. He had worked at the company for over 18 months. His replacement is former head of PR Lee Kirton, who has been promoted to marketing and PR manager.

We have had a restructure within NBP UK, and as part of that David took the option to move on to new ventures,” Namco Bandai Partners’ vice president for the UK, Ireland and Nordic territories John Galloway stated.

"From this, I was able to promote Lee. With his experience, I believe we have a very strong team to take us forward in our future.”

Kirton began in the games industry in 1997 as a PR executive for GT Interactive. In 1999, GT was bought by Atari and Kirton remained at the iconic publisher until last year, when Namco Bandai bought its European arm.

In his new role he will oversee marketing for the likes of Enslaved and Test Drive Unlimited 2.
