Promotion will raise awareness of government support available to games developers

New campaign launched to grow Turkey’s indie scene

Turkey is already home to a healthy community of mobile games firms, but organisations in the Mediterranean nation are keen to attract more independent developers as well.

A new campaign launched today, Turkey Loves Indies, aims to target new and smaller studios around the world and better communicate the opportunities for them in Turkey.

The initiative is the brainchild of trade bodies Game Developers Association of Turkey and Investment Support & Promotion Agency, and centres around the website www.turkeylovesindies.com. At the site, studios will be able to find more information about opportunities for indies and the support offered by the Turkish government.

Turkey is this year’s partner country for Gamescom, which takes place in Cologne this week.
