New Fnatic LoL roster all signed to multiyear contracts

Last night Fnatic announced its new League of Legends roster at its new pop up store in London. We were in attendance and spoke to Patrik “cArn” Sättermon, CGO at Fnatic, about the team, when he revealed that they are all on multi year contracts.

“The ambition with these guys is to work with them long term,” said cArn when speaking to eSports Pro. “We have contracted these players for multi year contracts. We are just going to work as smart as we can to make the right decisions going into the LCS Spring Split and week by week assess how things are going. Our goal is to win the Spring Split and move forward from there.”

cArn also spoke about the process of putting the team together, and how they went with a slightly different approach to many other teams.

“We wanted to close this quite early on, meaning we didn’t want to leave it until the end of December,” said cArn. “We went back to basics, we relied a lot on our current player and the team management had a lot of conversations with players and did a lot of tryouts. So this the result of all that work.”

You will be able to read more of our chat with cArn next week.
