Paris-based event set to establish the state of current and future games research industries

New R&D conference announced

Future Game On – a new video game research and development conference – is to be held September 9th to 10th this year at the Porte de Versailles Exhibition Center in Paris.

The event, hosted by French firms Cap Digital and Imaginove, will feature a series of conferences and keynotes which the event organisers say are to feature “technical and scientific innovations” in video games R&D to industry professionals and the public.

Themes and topics set to be covered include software and hardware innovation and practices, rendering technology, geolocalisation, AI, general game design and management and production tools.

The Future Game On conference committee has invited industry and academic specialists to submit any scientific papers and conference proposals before a closing date of June 22nd.

Future Game On is running in partnership with the Siggraph 2010 conference.
