New Year, New Job 2015: How to get involved

Every January, we kick off a new year with a series of recruitment specials helping people that are looking for a new challenge – and 2015 will be no different.

In fact, this year’s New Year, New Job bonanza will encompass both January and February across this very website and Develop magazine.

We’ve already started things off with Develop Jobs Extra, a who’s who of hiring available with the December/January issue, and watch out for news on our annual salary survey later this month.

The February issue will be our Recruitment Special, including the results of the aforementioned survey, plus in-depth features on how to bolster your studio with the best team available. Want to get involved in the magazine? Contact Charlotte via cnangle@nbmedia.com or call her or 01992 535647.

Meanwhile in January, we’ll be running recruitment-related content every day under the banner of New Year, New Job – and there’s plenty of opportunity for you to get involved. For a start, we want developers to send us their tips and advice on the following:

  • How to create the perfect CV
  • How to make your portfolio or game demo stand out
  • How to prepare for the toughest interview questions
  • What not to wear to a job interview
  • The best business books for managers to read
  • How studio recruiters can find the best candidates

Got more advice to share? Fancy writing a lengthier opinion piece? Drop a line to jbatchelor@nbmedia.co.uk to find out how you can get involved.
