3D Realms delays Bombshell to January 2016

3D Realms’ Duke Nukem spiritual successor Bombshell has been delayed to early next year, the publisher has announced.

A post by developer Interceptor Entertainment’s Frederik Shreiber on the game’sSteam community boardsexplains the game has been pushed back from its original release this month to January to give the studio the time needed to rid the game of bugs.

"Over the last several weeks, we’ve been exhaustively testing Bombshell to get it ready for ship," Schreiber states. "Unfortunately, and honestly, the game isn’t entirely bug free at this point. Our first instinct was to just get this puppy out the door, and that we could fix the remaining issues with a quick patch after launch. But within ten seconds we realized that’s no way to treat paying fans of our games."

Bombshell had been the next Duke Nukem release, before current IP owner Gearbox issued a lawsuit forcing the change. The game is currently set for release on January 29thfor Windows PC thorugh Steam and GOG.
