3DS dominates Japanese charts

Nintendo’s 3DS is still on top in Japan according to the latest sales data provided by Famitsu.

This week the platform holder’s handheld sold a combined total of 41,183 units. This was helped by the fact that seven out of the Top Ten games were for the 3DS.

Yokai Watch 2 is still No.1, despite sales declining 21 per cent week-on-week. Level Five’s title was still the best-selling game of the month, shifting an impressive 1.7m units. 1.3m of these were in its first week on shelves.

There were two new releases for the 3DS this week, too: Imageepooch’s Sonipro and Kadokawa’s Fate/Kaleid liner Prisma Illya. Pokmon Art Academy also re-entered the Top Ten.
