Allison Road is back in development

Horror title Allison Road has returned following its apparent cancellation in June.

IGN reports that the game’s creator Christian Kesler will continue working on the title with his wife, with whom he has founded new label Far From Home.

It did take a bit of soul searching to find the drive again to work on Allison Road and to simply make a call on what to do next,” Kesler said.

After the set back, I took a bit of a break from working on it and re-evaluated all the work that had been done so far — the whole journey, so to speak. I started making a few (in my opinion) necessary changes to the story and the flow, little bits and pieces here and there, and before I knew it, it sort of naturally came back to life.

In September, it’ll be two years since an idea out of a notebook started to come to life and some people have been with it from the very beginning. That’s really fantastic.”

Back in September 2015 Allison Road’s Kickstarter was cancelled (it had raised 146k of its 250k target) after Team 17 came on board as publisher. However, the developer announced its outright cancellation in June of this year. It later said this was due to the mutual agreement to part ways with Team 17.

Neither side has ever clarified the circumstances of the split.
