Angry Birds Star Wars will hit consoles November 1st

Rovio has confirmed Angry Birds Star Wars will debut on consoles this November.

The developer has confirmed the return of the slightly miffed birds, despite only announcing the game’s predecessor Angry Birds Star Wars II earlier this week.

Angry Birds Star Wars will launch on all current-gen consoles, including Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita, Nintendo 3DS, Wii and Wii U. The title will make its retail debut on November 1st.

The announcment follows Rovio’s confirmation of Angry Birds Star Wars II, which the firm unveiled earlier this week.

Rivalling the likes of Skylanders and Disney Infinity, Angry Birds Star Wars II is the latest ‘toys-to-life’ game and will support the use of 30 individual figures called TELEPODS.

Players use the toys by placing them on a plinth next to their smartphone or tablet, which in turn ports characters into the game itself.

Angry Birds Star Wars II will launch on mobile devices on September 19th, alongside the figures that can be scaned to access additional in-game content.

Produced by Hasbro, the toys will cost up to 30 and will be stocked by selected retailers.
