Incidents of iPhone 6 Plus handsets being bent in normal use are extremely rare”, Apple has said.
Addressing the #Bendgate controversy for the first time, Apple insists that it took several steps to prevent handset bending during the design of the device, including the use of steel and titanium inserts and an ion-strengthened screen.
Indeed, speaking to CNBC the company went as far as to claim that only nine customers have complained about bent handsets – and that’s out of millions of owners.
