Asia next as IGN widens global reach

IGN is preparing to launch in the Asia Pacific region, which will see the online firm have a presence in almost 40 markets.

It follows the arrival of IGN Middle East last week, which was launched in partnership with T-Break Media.

The Middle East is a massive opportunity for IGN

– it has a growing interest in media and a voracious consumer appetite for games and film,” said international business development director Adam Doree.

It’s an exciting market and there’s a large audience of gamers that IGN will be reaching for the first time.

We are just putting the finishing touches to IGN Asia Pacific, which will launch in the next few weeks.

Once this launches, IGNwill have a local presence in almost 40 countries, and operating a 24-hour service. So no matter where or when it happens, IGN will be there.”

IGN’s MD and VP of International, Ian Chambers added: The appetite for games media is truly global, and new markets and potential opportunities are emerging all the time.”
