The first plausible pictures of what will likely be called the iPhone 5 have appeared online.
9To5Mac claims to have obtained the snaps from smartphone repair company uBreakiFix.
The main star is the larger screen that stretches from one side of the device to the other without a border. The rear case is also redesigned and is now constructed of both metal and glass.
Also note the new dock connector and, for the first time, a headphone jack mounted on the underside of the device. This, of course, means that any existing iPhone docking device will be incompatible.
BGR adds that it’s entirely possible these parts are for a non-final version of the handset, but they do perfectly match up with what has been reported about the new iPhone”.
