Ever fancied trying your hand at EVE Online but been scared off by having to start from scratch in a game universe that’s been developing for years? If the answer’s yes, then CCP wants to make you an offer.
Massively reports that the company will on October 19th release a new SKU in North America called EVE Online: Commissioned Officer Edition. It differs from normal versions of the game in that it offers significant new pilot skills development boosts for the first 30 days of play.
Also included in the box is a month’s free game time and a hints poster. The SKU will only be available in shops and cannot be purchased digitally.
The Commissioned Officers Edition is the best way for a new player to get a running start in the highly competitive environment of EVE Online,” senior producer Arnar Gylfason stated.
A European release is planned, but there’s no firm release date as of yet.
