CD Projekt shifts focus from Cyberpunk 2077 to concentrate on Witcher 3

The wait for futuristic RPG Cyberpunk 2077 looks likely to be a long one.

"The first rule of Cyberpunk 2077 is that we don’t talk about Cyberpunk 2077," CD Projekt’s head of marketing and PR Michal Platkow-Gilewski told GameSpot.

"On a more serious note, in short, communication-wise, we are now focusing entirely on The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. Everyone is working crazy hard to give gamers around the world an RPG to remember.

Worry not, Cyberpunk 2077 is OK, its time will come."

The game was announced by CD Projekt back in 2012 and is being developed by a separate team to the twice delayed Witcher 3. Indeed, the Polish developer has previously pledged that Witcher 3 development hiccups will in no way impede the progress of Cyberpunk 2077.

The sci-fi title is expected to launch on PS4, Xbox One and PC but does not yet have a release date.
