Destiny beta on Xbox One and 360 kicks off in late July

The Xbox One and Xbox 360 Destiny beta will launch sometime late next month, Bungie has revealed.

Eurogamer points to a new trailer for the game on the Xbox dashboard that states the beta will arrive in late July.” The upcoming title racked up 6.5m games played during its PlayStation-exclusive alpha run earlier this month.

Sony’s already announced that the beta will launch July 17th on PS3 and PS4, so it’s safe to assume Microsoft console owners will get their turn at some point during the fortnight between then and the end of the month.

The news follows a report from VG247 that Destiny’s previously unveiled PS3 and PS4-exclusive content will stay as such until Fall 2015.

Destiny launches worldwide September 9th on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One and Xbox 360. There’s potential for a PC version at some point down the road as well.
