Diablo III to launch in China

Blizzard has teamed up with NetEase to bring Diablo III to the Chinese market.

Polygon reports that Diablo III will be the fifth Blizzard title to launch in the region, joining StarCraft 2, World of Warcraft, Hearthstone and the upcoming Heroes of the Storm.

"We’re very excited that with our effort all five of Blizzard Entertainment’s game series will be delivered to Chinese players," NetEase CEO and founder William Ding said.

"We’ll continue to work closely with Blizzard to prepare for a smooth Diablo III launch in China so that local gamers can start playing this epic adventure as soon as possible."

As of February Diablo III has sold 15m units worldwide, having sold 3.5m copies in its first 24 hours – a new record. Expansion Reaper of Souls shifted 2.7m units in its first week.
