The latest entry in Disney’s Infinity toys-to-life series will be hitting stores in late August.
To be precise, Disney Infinity 3.0 has been announced for a August 28th release.
Disney Infinity 3.0’s headline feature is the addition of new Star Wars characters who join the already sizeable line-up of Disney and Marvel characters – introduced in the first and second games respectively.
The toys-to-life space is growing more crowded by the second. Following the success of Activision’s Skylanders, Nintendo has launched its Amiibo line-up of figures, while even LEGO is joining the fray this year with LEGO Dimensions.
But Disney Infinity 3.0 might be at a slight advantage, launching ahead of Skylanders Superchargers September 25th launch and LEGO Dimensions September 29th release.
Disney Infinity saw growth in early 2015, with sales rising 37 per cent year-on-year and revenue increasing 56 per cent.
