EA is currently recruiting for its new studio in Gothenburg, on the west coast of Sweden. The new studio will concentrate on “developing new generations of games, and the engine of choice is Frostbite 2”.
Patrick Söderlund, EVP of EA's Games Label, took the initiative to start the new studio and has appointed Marcus Nilsson, formerly an Executive Producer at DICE, to run it.
The official website for the new studio presents it as “something of a unique proposition in today’s gaming industry, in that it’s a ‘start up’, with all the attractions that brings, while enjoying being part of Electronic Arts, one of the world’s largets and most successful game companies”.
EA Gothenburg is located in central Gothenburg and will be recruiting new employees throughout the year. It is currently looking for everything from producers through art directors, technical artists to software engineers. Anyone interested in applying, or looking for more information, should check out the official website of EA Gothenburg.
