EA profits soar 50%

EA in its last quarter generated 51 per cent more profit year-on-year on the back of impressive sales across its console and mobile operations.

Net GAAP income rose to $335m (196.5m) for the quarter ending June 30th, up from $222m the year prior.Revenues also grew from $949m to $1.2bn during the same period. The publisher currently expects to generate $4.1bn for the 2015 fiscal year.

Total active users for EA’s mobile games reached 140 million in Q1.EA’s Ultimate Team services, meanwhile, in its sports titles continued to experience growth, with FIFA Ultimate Team growing by nearly 80 per cent.
