Elder Scrolls Online FAQ claims six months delay on PS4 and Xbox One

A now-removed update to Bethesda’s The Elder Scrolls Online FAQ has claimed that the console version of the MMO has suffered a big delay.

The PS4 and Xbox One version of the game had been scheduled to arrive in June.

As captured by Reddit, the FAQ post last night read:

The Elder Scrolls Online officially launched on April 4th 2014 on PC and Mac. While it has become clear that our planned June release of the console versions isn’t going to be possible, we have made great progress, we have concluded that we’ll need about six more months to ensure we deliver the experience our fans expect and deserve. For additional information on the delay, please see this blog post.”

All but the first line has now been removed. The referenced blog post appears to have never been made live.

It’s unclear whether this six month period is from now or from June, meaning that the game may or may not arrive in time for Christmas.

UPDATE: The delay has now been officially confirmed.
