Facebook backs the MCV & Women in Games Awards 2016

Facebook has given its backing to next month’s Women in Games Awards, lining up as headline partner for the MCV and WIGJ event.

The firm will also sponsor the Outstanding Contribution of the Year category of the special awards.

MCV this week announced the Top 30 Women in Games earlier this week, with the finalists in the six special categories also revealed.

Facebook’s head of gaming sales EMEA Tarquin Henderson has joined the judging panel to help choose the winners of the special categories.

Henderson forged his career in marketing, working for successful global companies such as Diageo and Nestle. In 2005, he moved into the fast paced world of online gaming, holding senior positions at 888.com and BetClic Everest Group.

In his current role as the Head of EMEA Gaming Sales for Facebook, he works with gaming companies from across the industry. He has also been a strong advocate and supporter of Women in Gaming programmes in Facebook.

Creative Impact

Unsung Hero

Campaigner of the Year

Outstanding Achievement of the Year
