Future reshuffles senior Entertainment team

UK media group Future Publishing has made a number of changes to the senior management team for its Entertainment brands.

The reshuffle is part of Future’s ongoing plans to grow these magazines and websites, as well as their digital counterparts such as videos, on-console shows and Newsstand editions.

Don Ditri is now head of commercial development for entertainment, and will focus on improving digital revenues and forming new partnerships.

He passes on his publishing duties on CVG and GamesRadar to Clair Porteous, who now becomes head of digital development for entertainment. She will also oversee both mobile and digital development. Porteous has been instrumental in quadrupling Total Film’s online reach in the past 12 months.

Lee Nutter will continue as publisher for Future’s Nintendo titles, and picks up additional responsibilities for the Film portfolio from Porteous. He will now be responsible for Total Film, SFX and Comic Heroes, while handing GamesMaster over to James Kick. Kick retains his role as associate publisher of the PlayStation portfolio and the GamesMaster Golden Joystick Awards.

Richard Keith will continue to publish PC Gamer, Edge and the Xbox publications. He will now also drive Future’s ventures in mobile and tablet gaming, as well as the free-to-play market.

Finally, Tim Clark has been promoted from editor-in-chief of games to group senior editor of games.

"We have realigned the structure of the Entertainment portfolio to provide a great focus on delivering rapid digital growth, increased and additional revenue streams, greater audience engagement and the agility to move into emerging markets," said group publishing director Simon Maxwell.

"These steps will also allow us to drive more projects with a global focus and puts the Entertainment portfolio in an extremely strong position entering our next phase of evolution."
