Retail giant GameStop could still make a bricks and mortar UK move – with a range of merchandise shops.
It acquired US website ThinkGeek in June for 92m, and is opening the first ThinkGeek physical shop in Florida this month.
It also operates Zing Pop Culture, a range of Australian merchandise stores.
Now EVP and president of GameStop International Mike Mauler has told MCV that the company is eyeing possible expansion into other territories. And the UK could yet be included on that list.
Said Mauler: We are exploring standalone loot stores in many markets, whether they are called Zing Pop Culture or ThinkGeek.”
