Gfinity to support both Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare and Modern Warfare Remastered

Gfinity will be running competitions for both Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered in November.

Traditionally Gfinity, like most event organisers, has run tournaments for the major Call of Duty game each year, but with the launch of two games this year they have decided to support both.

At launch Gfinity will be running two free to play launch cups, one for Infinite Warfare and one for Modern Warfare Remastered. Both cups will feature a 1000 prize pool, with the winners grabbing 600, and will be played on PS4. Infinite Warfare’s cup will take place on November 4th and Modern Warfare Remastered’s cup will take place on the 5th.

Following on from that normal Gfinity cup service will resume, with Infinite Warfare and Modern Warfare Remastered cups running throughout the week. A full schedule for November can be seen below.

The decision to support Modern Warfare Remastered is an interesting one, as the game is only available with Infinite Warfare. However many fans have been hungry for CoD 4 to finally get the shot at the big time eSports world that it missed out on first time around.
