Heroes of the Storm World Championship Tournament to debut at BlizzCon 2015

Blizzard has announced the first official global tournament series for its MOBA Heroes of the Storm will take place later this year at BlizzCon 2015.

The eSports competition will offer $1.2m in cash and prizes, with $200,000 of that pool designated for the winning team.

Regional championships for North America, Europe, Latin America, Australia, New Zealand, China, Korea, Taiwan and Southeast Asia will begin later this month. The top eight teams will be invited to attend the World Championship at BlizzCon in Anaheim on November 6th.
