IGN to launch in France and Brazil in 2015

Localised IGN websites will launch in France and Brazil early next year.

The Ziff Davis-owned games brand has teamed up with Webedia Group to launch in the new territories. Webedia owns entertainment websites AlloCine, AdoroCinema and JeauxVideo.

IGN now has 23 international versions of its websites in 17 different languages.

We’re delighted to welcome Webedia Group to Ziff Davis’ global family of publishing partners,” says Ziff Davis’ international business development director Adam Doree.

IGN has seen rapid growth in every new international market we’ve launched in over the last two years, and Webedia is the ideal partner to realize the IGN opportunity in these critically important markets, where we have taken extra time and care to get the best possible partner on board.”

Webedia CEO Vronique Morali adds: We have big ambitions in the video gaming world and this agreement with IGN is a major step forward to develop a wide content offering dedicated to gamers, whether they be casual, passionate or expert.”
