Lara Croft Go, Hitman Go and Deus Ex Go now free on Amazon Underground

Lara Croft Go, Hitman Go and Deus Ex Go are now free to download on Amazon Underground. Square Enix Montreal announced the news yesterday via Twitter for US users, but the same promotion has now arrived in the UK.

Amazon Underground is available on all Amazon Fire tablets, Fire TV devices as well as Amazon’s long-defunct Fire phone, but regular Android users can also download the Amazon Underground app by visiting Amazon’s website and following the onscreen instructions. Sadly, the service isn’t available yet for iOS users.

Designed with touchscreen devices in mind, Square Enix Montreal’s turn-based puzzles games have all been well-received since their introduction in 2014.

Hitman Go, the first Go title to be released, was nominated for Best Mobile Game at the 2014 Joystiq Awards, and its successor, Lara Croft Go, won Apple’s iPhone Game of the Year award in 2015. Lara Croft Go was also subsequently selected for Apple’s 2016 Design Award, and recently launched on both PS4 and the PS Vita last November.

Hitman Go: Definitive Edition was also included in Square Enix’s recent Holiday Surprise Box 2016, where customers could pay 5 for a selection of surprise download codes. The Definitive Edition is also available to buy on PC, PS4 and the PS Vita, and a VR version of the game is available for Samsung’s Gear VR headset.

Deus Ex Go, meanwhile, is the newest of the three Go titles, and launched on August 18th 2016. It’s currently only available on Android and iOS, but given the launch cycle of its predecessors, a PS4 and PS Vita release is likely to be on the cards further down the line.

Deus Ex Go is also the first title in the series to receive a level creation tool, allowing players to create their own puzzles. The game also received a free update that added more puzzles to the game post-launch.
