Latest Major League Gaming event breaks attendance records

Major League Gaming’s latest Pro Circuit event hit new heights in terms of attendance, the organization has revealed.

Fans and competitors combined to make up 21,000 attendees at the three-day Spring Championship in Anaheim, California – which the league states sets a new record for the largest crowd in the history of MLG.

MLG also debuted a special All Star Showdown, with NFL receiver Dez Bryant and NBA players Dwight Howard, Ty Lawson and DeJuan Blair all participating.

The growth of the esports organization’s popularity has taken place even in the face of adverse circumstances, with the group recently having to cut ties with Blizzard and its hosting duties of the developer’s StarCraft II World Championship Series.

The next Pro Circuit Championship is scheduled to kickoff November 22nd in Columbus, Ohio.
