MCM rebrands ahead of 2016 expansion

MCM is launching a new MCM Central brand ahead of its ‘accelerated growth plans’ for 2016.

MCM London Comic Con is now the third largest Comic Con event in the world, the firm says, with 130,000 visitors for its October show. The company now plans to expand within the UK and Ireland via new events, as well as grow in other European markets.

With MCM set to take on challenges and ventures beyond our traditional Comic Con format, we’ll be stamping each of our shows with the new ‘Powered by MCM Central’ brand so industry and public alike know that it comes from the UK’s most successful pop culture event company,” the firm said in a statement.

MCM already has one new event on the way dedicated to video games: GamerMania will take place at ExCel London on July 29th to 31st. The company promises: ‘major studios, eSports and YouTube content, LAN, PC & retro gaming, and a dedicated zone for independent creators’.
